West End Dental Inc Reopening
West End Dental is excited to begin seeing patients safely. These are unprecedented times, and we want to reassure you that we have taken every precaution to ensure your safety and wellbeing during your visit.

We are limiting the number of patients in the office in order to maintain appropriate social distance. We ask that you provide your own face mask when in the office, use provided hand sanitizer, and that you come to your appointment alone unless accompaniment is required.

All patients will be screened with a contactless temperature check, pulse oximeter reading, and verbal questionnaire.

We ask that you understand that our provider's time is more crucial than ever and request that you be prompt to your appointment, arriving no sooner or later than your appointment time. Understand that if you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours in advance or are more than 15 minutes late to your visit, we will charge your account a $75.00 non-refundable fee.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during these unprecedented times. Please watch the video below for more information.

How Eating Produce Helps to Keep Your Mouth Clean

Posted on 8/15/2019 by Dr. James A. Krippaehne
How Eating Produce Helps to Keep Your Mouth Clean Do you regularly consume produce? If so, then you have likely noticed that after you eat it, your teeth feel cleaner than before you started eating. This is a natural, amazing side effect of eating produce. The rough texture of most types of produce act like a natural toothbrush while you are eating. Each time you chew, your teeth get cleaner because you scrub the surface of your teeth with the produce. The more you eat, the cleaner your teeth can get!

Produce is Great for Your Entire Body

Not only do your teeth get to reap the benefits when you eat produce, but so does the rest of your body. You get cleaner teeth from the natural scrubbing action, and your digestive tract gets the same benefit. The fiber that comes from raw produce scrubs your insides, pulling harmful cells out of your body. Fiber also causes your mouth to create an increased amount of saliva, which helps to keep your teeth cleaner than without it. This makes for a great way to naturally keep your teeth whiter between visits to our office. What you eat can make a huge difference as to how healthy and clean your mouth is. By increasing how much produce you eat, you also increase just how healthy your mouth has the potential to be. Ideally, you want to make sure you are getting at least six servings of produce each day to help keep you healthy and keep your mouth clean.
