Meet Dr. Ida Malmquist
Dr. Ida Malmquist
Dr. Ida Malmquist was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans. Following college, Dr. Malmquist spent two years at the University of Texas Southwestern Health Science Center researching Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Malmquist continued her research and education at Baylor College of Dentistry where she was a recipient of the American Association for Dental Research Student Fellowship Award and has multiple publications on her research. In 2013, she earned her DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
After obtaining her DDS, as part of her service to the community, she has enjoyed volunteering with Mission of Mercy in Texas and Oregon, as well as the Creston Children's Clinic in Oregon. Dr. Malmquist is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Oregon Dental Association, and is in the process of obtaining her Fellowship Award through the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Malmquist enjoys getting to know each of her patients as individuals and taking the time to understand their concerns and goals. Patients appreciate her unhurried approach and honest evaluations. She creates personalized plans to meet each patient's goals and expectations.
Dr. Malmquist finds balance through enjoying time with her family and friends. She enjoys working out, traveling, and recently began cooking classes.
